Back to Blogs, back to Folk School

t's only been three years since this site was last active. Time to wake up again. So here are some things I have been up to.

I returned to Folk School with a friend, Bobbie Muscarella, since Janet is now married and Karen is finishing her senior year. We took a class together - Barbara Sahpel's Thread Painting. That is creating a picture on fabric using your sewing machine and thread - LOTS of thread.

Barbara provided a stencil of the shape. We all created great blue herons. It was a wonderful time, and we learned a lot - both about the technique and about our machines. It was a fun group of 12 ladies. Everyone should get to go to Folk School at least once in their lives. Here is my heron.

This time we knew where not to park, so our car stayed in one piece. Coming home through the Great Smokey Mtn. National Park, we were treated to a magnificent view of ice on trees, even though there was non on roads.
